Congressman Ken Calvert

Congressman Ken Calvert serves in the 41st District which stretches across Riverside County including Corona, Norco, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar, Canyon Lake, Menifee, Calimesa, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta, Indian Wells, and Palm Springs.

Calvert is the Dean of the California Republican Delegation, and was first elected to Congress in 1992.   Over the years he has been able to address issues critical to Riverside County, California, and the nation.  Ken has been in leadership roles with local community groups including the Corona Chamber of Commerce, the Corona Rotary, and the Corona/Norco Family YMCA.

On the House Appropriations Committee, Ken is the Ranking Member of the Defense Appropriations Subcommittee, and serves on the Energy and Water Subcommittee.  Ken works on projects critical to Riverside County; such as operations at March Air Reserve Base; transportation projects, the Goeske Center for Senior and Disabled Citizens, technology at the University of California at Riverside, and more.

In 1996 Calvert authored legislation that created E-Verify, a system that allows employers to check the legal status of newly hired employees against the social security number.  Calvert’s work has received top ratings from Americans for Tax Reform, the Christian Coalition, League of Private Property Voters, Citizens for a Sound Economy, and more.  Many of Ken’s bills have become law including legislations that protects against identity theft, a simplified collection process of oil and gas royalties, penalties for desecration of national cemeteries, establishing the Medal of Honor Memorial at Riverside National Cemetery; and more.

Calvert earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Diego State University. After graduation, he ran the family’s restaurant in Corona, and then entered the real estate industry running Ken Calvert Real Properties until he was elected to Congress.

Plan to come and hear Congressman Calvert’s take on what is really happening in Washington D.C.

Bring a friend.
