PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

With a little over a month until the midterm elections the left have loaded their guns and are ready for a fight....a dirty fight. They have pulled out the stops and NOTHING will get in their way to regain the House and Senate and do what they believe they have to do....Impeach 45. They are not concerned with collateral damage. Accusations with no proof are to be believed and to defend is indefensible. They have even turned on each other as accusations of wearing a wire to trap President Trump was tossed into the limelight to divert attention from themselves. Perhaps the end is near as they take that step too far? The 'swamp' or 'deep state' is in a panic. Could it be that President Trump truly wants to Make America Great Again?

We must rally around our Republican candidates and encourage people to vote. I believe most people who are not on Trump's side just don't have the truthful information about what is going on. We are running out of time to inform them.....let's go do it!

Mary Carter, President

SUNSHINE

Your Sunshine Chairman is requesting that you keep her informed of any and all occasions that need to be acknowledged by a card. Such things as births, deaths, marriages, health issues, happy and sad, all deserve recognition. If I don't hear from you, someone who could use a bit of cheering up would be overlooked. Let's don't let that happen. Just drop me a line or email me.

Many thanks,
Dodie Brocken

Supporting Marine Families During the Holidays

Through your generous past donations, our membership has made a difference for Marine families during the holidays. This year we team up with the Armed Services of the YMCA to continue this tradition.

At the October and November meetings, there will be a donation envelope on each table. With these donations, $25 Wal-Mart gift cards will be purchased and given to the ASYMCA for distribution to the most needy Marine families. FYI, our young Marine families live pay check to pay check and many, unfortunately, below the poverty level. Please help make their holiday memorable. One that they truly deserve.

Direct any questions to Sue Lapham, Liaison to the Troops, hslapham@aol.com or 760 898 6968.
If you are interested in becoming a member please contact Terry Krogen, V.P. Membership, at tkrogen@aol.com or 760-285-8694
