With Guest Speaker
Carl DeMaio
Carl DeMaio founded Reform California, a statewide grassroots organization, 20 years ago. Carl is a government reform leader who led work that forced the City of San Diego to admitting a pension debt crisis; and outlining a fiscal reform plan for that city. Reform California has led state wide initiative campaigns, including the recall of State Senator Josh Newman who led the unfair and costly gas tax hikes, and let the Gas Tax Repeal initiative in 2022.
Reform California is a 527 political action committee that is dedicated to holding state and local government accountable. It fights unfair taxes, and fees; and works to counterbalance the Democrat supermajority in Sacramento; leftist policies that are costing taxpayers and hurting California.
And
Nick Meade
Nick Meade is the Executive Director of Fix California, which was founded by Ambassador Ric Grenell; who served in both the Bush and Trump Administrations. It is committed to the pursuit of solutions that advance conservative ideas and causes in California, to counter the leftist Democrat super-majority stranglehold in Sacramento that harms industry, and families. This imperative move to the right is about common-sense policies which benefit all Californians. Such as registering voters, researching paths to expand California’s school choice, and going after frustrated declined-to state voters.
Reform California and Fix California each offer solutions to the leftist asphyxiation happening in Sacramento due to the Democrat supermajority. These organizations are not in competition, but each offers ways for you to consider in how you can help to transform California from a blue to a red state.
Plan to attend, bring a friend.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
In October 2021 at the General Convention of the California Federation of Republic Women (CFRW), Janet Price was duly elected as the CFRW president for the years 2022 and 2023. Recently, the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) indicated that Mary Erwin is now the president. That decision is not supported by the by-laws as we understand them. Until this conflict is resolved, Rancho Mirage Republican Women Federated will continue its regular clubs activities.
Patricia Pyle
President

HOSTESS COMMITTEE NEWS
Every month at our luncheon meetings, we have members who volunteered to be Hostesses. The Hostesses meet and greet our members and their guests. It's easy and fun, and a great way to meet the amazing women in our club.
Many thanks to Bonny Wheeler and Barbara Shabashov for being Hostesses at the April meeting. Great job, ladies! Barbara Shabashov has volunteered to be a Hostess at the May meeting too!
Members who have volunteered to be Hostesses at future meetings are Carol Dunn and Liz Keane.
If you are interested in being a Hostess at one of our luncheon meetings, text or call me at 310-433-4009 or email me at rrfuchs@earthlink.net (mailto:rrfuchs@earthlink.net).
Many thanks,
