Lance Christensen joined Fix California to spearhead the Education Savings Account Act (ESAA) of 2022.  The founder of Fix California is Ric Grenell who was in the Trump Administration as the Acting Director of National Intelligence and as Ambassador to Germany.  There are 3 focuses of Fix California, and one is the Education Savings Account Act. 

California spends around $22,000 per year for each child in public school.  Parents with zip codes in neighborhoods with failing schools may lack the opportunity to provide better educational options, due to finances.  Zip codes are a lottery on the educational future of a child.  ESAA would change that.  It is a bi-partisan approach.  Funds follow the student, so parents can decide which school best offers a learning experience for their children.  

Before joining Fix California, Lance was the Executive Vice President of the California Policy Center.  Prior to that he worked as a legislative consultant in the California State Senate. He served as Chief of Staff and Senior Policy Advisor to California State Senator John Moorlach.  Christensen served as Director of the Pension Reform Project for Reason Foundation.  His bachelor’s degree is from Brigham Young University, and he earned a Public Policy Master’s Degree from Pepperdine University.  

A minimum of 979,139 signatures on Education Savings Account Act Petitions between now and April 2022 are required in order to be on the November ballot. Your help is needed.
