Riverside County Sheriff
Stan Sniff Jr.

Sheriff Stan Sniff Jr. has served since 2007.  His region covers 7,300 square miles from the Colorado River west to Corona.  With an annual budget of over $535 million, and over 4,000 dedicated men and women cover this vast region of 58 fast growing counties.  The County Sheriff manages five correctional facilities, oversees countywide patrol operations, jail operations, court security, and coroner investigations.  It is the second largest Sheriff’s Department in the State of California.

The Sheriff’s department prevailed in a dispute with the unions regarding use of police body cameras; and the department now uses the credit card size camera devices.   Training has also begun on their newest fixed wing drone.  This 12-pound Unmanned Aerial Vehicle provides crystal clear pictures from 400 feet above ground, and could be used for search and rescue missions.  Thanks to Governor Jerry Brown and the liberal Democrats in Sacramento, California becomes a sanctuary state January 1, 2018.  The mission of the Office of Sheriff is to meet the mandates prescribed by California law, provide responsive, innovative and efficient public safety; while working in partnership with the community and our allied agencies. It will be of great interest to know how the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department will deal with the new regulations.
Stan is a lively and entertaining speaker and always appreciated by our members.  You are sure to learn something new about current Riverside County law enforcement.  Make your reservations now, and bring a friend.
