Toy Drive for Marine Children
Just a reminder - if you desire - bring unwrapped toys (batteries if needed) for the young children of the Marines at 29 Palms who willingly and courageously serve our country. For them the luncheon is one of gratitude for organizations such as ours because we keep the fighting men and women in our prayers and bring them joy at this time of year.
Marines will join us for lunch and take the toys back to the Base for a happy holiday celebration.

STEVE SANCHEZ
 |
|
The Holiday luncheon does not have a featured speaker. Honoring Marines and Christmas gifts for Marine children are the feature of this event.
The Induction of Officers for the 2022 year will be conducted by candidate for State Senate, Steve Sanchez. Steve currently serves on the La Quinta City Council. Steve is a candidate for office in the seat currently held by Melissa Melendez who cannot run again due to term limits.
Steve was part of the Marine team that rescued Col. Oliver North behind enemy lines when North’s helicopter was shot down. Perhaps Steve can rescue California from behind the enemy lines in Sacramento!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and Holiday Cheer,
Darlene Casella – Vice President

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
Dear Members and Friends:
Sadly, for me, this is my last President’s Message because as of the end of this year my term of office is over. Not to worry, Patricia Pyle is our new President and she will do a fabulous job.
It has been my extreme pleasure and honor to serve as president of this wonderful club. I have served on many boards but without question, the group of ladies who have made up our board have been outstanding. You, our members and supporters are second to none and have stayed loyal to Rancho Mirage RWF throughout a most difficult 2020. We appreciate your membership and confidence in our goals. It’s been a learning experience for all of us.
My participation has allowed me to get to know you and I can proudly call many of you “friends”. It’s the added bonus of being around like-minded people. We have welcomed many new members over the last two years so much so that CFRW awarded Rancho Mirage for exceeding our membership goals. We are humbled by your confidence in our message.
As we continue to work for Republican ideals and candidates, we look forward to election success in 2022. We will all continue to work together and return our beloved country back to the right path.
I’m grateful for your support and I wish all of you a wonderful Holiday Season.
Be Bold!
Pamela Levin
President
Rancho Mirage RWF

“Holiday Shopping Extravaganza”
The “Holiday Shopping Extravaganza” fundraiser was a huge success with record attendance and a lot of money was raised for the 29 Palms Marine Families for the holidays. Such successful events can only happen with the enthusiastic participation of many volunteers.
First of all, I would like a special shout out to Sue Lapham who sold the tickets. For months she sold them in-person, on the phone and via e-mail as well. Right up to the night before she was still working to make sure every attendee was able to sit with their friends at their own reserved table. We could not have had such a great turn out if it were not for her efforts.
Also, a special thank you to Rosalin Schiller who was my vendor co-chair. She and I worked together and were both there at 8:00am to help the vendors set up. (We also moved a few tables as well.)
Thank you to the members who purchased a full table of 8. That just put us over the top. There are too many to mention, but I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. There were also members who could not attend but gave generous financial donations.
Would be remiss if I did not acknowledge the Executive Board and all the volunteers that worked tirelessly the day of the event to help make this event so successful. This will ensure a wonderful holiday for the Marines & their families. This is what it is all about.
My sincere thanks & happy holidays.
