Palm Desert, CA 92260
11AM Social - 11:30AM Meeting - Lunch at Noon

**PARKING IS RIGHT OUT FRONT...NO VALET**

With Guest Speaker

Michael Finch

Poet, writer, and speaker, Michael Finch is the President and Executive Director of the David Horowitz Freedom Center. The Center has established programs such as the Wednesday Morning Club, Jihad Watch, Front Page, The Individual Rights Foundations, Students for Academic Freedom and more.

Finch was recognized by the Christian Post for being among a notable number of social commentators and analysts who accurately predicted the presidential election outcome. The Post cited Michael’s article “Why Trump Will Win” from the American Thinker, where he argued that Trump heard the railing against the corrupt system and how we need to ‘clean house’.

A leading Godfather of FrontPage Magazine, editor of the Jamie Glazov Show, and author of Finding Home, a collection of poems about home, nature, love, and a view of the plight of Christians in the world today. His articles have been published in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Times, Detroit Times, Reason Magazine, Breitbart, the Washington Times, and more.

Michael Finch will share his insights about the left and their massive overreach of government power. Don’t miss this one. Bring a friend.

PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Is it just me or does it seem like the world has turned upside down and inside out? Things that we took for granted as being true are now just an option. You can choose your identity, gender, nationality and in some extreme cases even species. Facts are flexible depending on your opinions. We are truly living in an alternative universe, side by side with those who do not think like us, who do not want to talk to us or listen to any idea that we might have that differs from their view.

It is a sad state when we cannot disagree, listen and learn. It is even sadder when not long ago they had some of the same ideas, stood up and shouted them for all to hear, but now that they are ours they are disavowed as racist, hateful and evil.

Talking with N. Korea's leader was the top of that list.....diplomacy was the ultimate goal. The left hated the tweets from President Trump calling Kim Jung Un rocketman. Apparently, Trump's tactic worked and the agreement to meet in person should have been well received by everyone. The left played it down and didn't give our President much credit. It will be interesting to see what happens when the possibility of a resolution becomes a reality.

Mary Carter, President

SUNSHINE

Your Sunshine Chairman is requesting that you keep her informed of any and all occasions that need to be acknowledged by a card. Such things as births, deaths, marriages, health issues, happy and sad, all deserve recognition. If I don't hear from you, someone who could use a bit of cheering up would be overlooked. Let's don't let that happen. Just drop me a line or email me.

Many thanks,
Dodie Brocken
